  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Conway Funeral Home in Cresco, with inurnment at a later date.  Visitation will be held at the Conway Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

 Roger A. Lalk, age 47, of Elma, IA, died on January 20, 2008 at Regional Health Services Hospital in Cresco, of an apparent heart attack.

    Roger Allen Lalk was born, February 27, 1960 at Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of William B. and Mardell (Martin) Lalk. On September 18, 1999 he was united in marriage to Jennifer Wilson in Elma, IA.

    Roger worked for McNeilius Company in the Riceville plant. When he wasn’t working Roger spent his time with his family, collected guns and knives. He especially enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and taking some time to go motorcycle riding. 

    Survivors include his wife: Jennifer of Elma, IA; two step children: Aaron Zimmerman of Calmar, IA and Brittany Potter of Elma, IA; his father William (special friend Carol VanEllen) Lalk of Parkersburg, IA; three brothers: Richard (Connie) Lalk of Lemars, IA; William G. (Tracy) Lalk of Craig, IA; and Russell Lalk of Waverly. IA. nephews and nieces: Maria (Gregg) Pedersen; Tina (Josh) Pies; Amanda (Adam) Peters all of Lemars, IA; Billie Jo (Adam) Tyler of Alton, IA; William L. (fiancé Amanda Davis) Lalk of Sheldon, IA; Jason (Jennifer) Lalk of Lemars, IA; and great nieces and nephews: Kayla, Kristeen, Amber and Ashleigh Pedersen; Tyler Lee, Madison, Adrianah, and Xander Taylor; Caitlynne and Emily Peters; Ethan, Evan, and Leigha Tyler; and Jonathon, Joél, Joy, and Joni Lalk.  

    He was preceded in death by his mother Mardell Jean in 1983.
