   Rosella Grover died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center. She was 85 years of age.

   Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Riceville. Family burial services were in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Conway Funeral Home in Riceville.

   Rosella E. Groth was born on March 23, 1923 near Elma, Iowa, the daughter of William and Esther (Bartels) Groth.  As a young girl, the family moved to Boone, Iowa where Rosella graduated from High School.

   On July 16, 1941, she was united in marriage to Franklin R. Grover in Riceville, Iowa. They made their home north of Elma and Rosella was a farm wife for over 40 years. Right after Franklin died on April 16, 1980, she moved into Riceville to make her home. Rosella was a good ambassador for the town of Riceville, there was not a better town to live. She was active in her church and also was on the Community Rest Home Board.

   Surviving Rosella are Robert’s wife Genevieve and their children: Kent and Darla and their children: Chelsea and Katie; Kurt and Cindy and their children: Brandon and Samantha; Brian and Sandi Grover; Richard and his wife, Lavon of Omaha, NE and their children: Tracy Grover, Jeff and Callista and their children: Gracia and Joah; Troy Grover. Also surviving are two sisters: Dorothy (Hank) Hensen of Perry, IA and Lavon (Stan) Olander of Milwaukee, WI; and a brother-in-law, Paul Grover of Cresco, IA.

   Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Franklin and one son, Robert.

 

Memorials may be given to St. Peters Church,   St Pauls Maple Leaf Building Fund or to the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center.
