Virginia F. Necas, age 81, of Cresco, IA, died on January 8, 2008 at Regional Health Services Hospital in Cresco, IA, of natural causes.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Notre Dame Church in Cresco, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Cresco, IA. Visitation will be held at the Conway Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. There will be a 6:00 p.m. scripture service on Thursday
Virginia Faith Necas was born, March 31, 1926 at Spring Valley, Minnesota, the daughter of and Fay O. and Elfrieda (Munkel) Farnsworth. On September 4, 1944 she was united in marriage to Leslie Joe Necas at Chester, IA.
Survivors include her seven children: Carolyn (John) McIntosh of Broomfield, CO; Leslie Jr (Mary) Necas of Denver, IA; Duane (Lisa) Necas of Cuy Falls, OH; Thomas Necas of Cresco, IA; Sandy (Denny) Liekweg of Janesville, IA; Lori (Darrel) Andera of Cresco, IA; and Jean (Nancy) Necas of Garden Grove, CA; 26 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great grandchild; four sisters: Della Rasmusson of Spring Valley, MN; Vivian Shields of Cresco, IA; Edythe Tupper of Colorado; and June Smith of Rochester, MN; two brothers: Lee Farnsworth of Stewartville, MN; and Fay Farnsworth of Rochester, MN; sister in-law: Helen Farnsworth of Cresco, IA and a brother in-law: Bernard Necas of Dubuque, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Leslie; two granddaughters: Tara Necas, and Nicole Andera; two sisters: Goldie and Hazel and five brothers: Neil, Gerald, Roger, Victor and Ervin.
